What actually goes on the car
Four films, four jobs. A ceramic coating keeps the car easy to clean. Paint protection film stops it chipping. The question we get most is ceramic or carbon window film — ceramic blocks the heat too.
Paint Protection Film
Clear urethane over the panels that take rock chips. Bumper, hood leading edge, mirrors, door cups, or the whole front.
Film line: 3M Pro Series, gloss or matte
Vinyl Wraps
Colour change, hood wraps, stripes, chrome delete, blackouts. It protects the paint underneath while it is on.
Film line: 3M, Avery Dennison, Oracal
Ceramic Coating
A hard, slick top layer. It does not stop chips or road debris. It makes the car easier to wash and holds gloss for years instead of months.
Product: Nasiol, five year
Window Tint
Cuts heat and glare and stops the interior fading. The percentage is how much light gets through, not how good it is.
Film line: 3M Crystalline, Ceramic IR, Obsidian, Color Stable, FX-HP
Warranty: 3M warrants its window film for life and its paint protection film for ten years, registered to the vehicle at install. Vinyl and ceramic coating carry their own manufacturers' terms. Ask for the paperwork before you pay anyone, anywhere.
How Dark You Can Legally Go in Arkansas
The limit is not one number. It changes with what you drive, and the rear of a truck is allowed to go a lot darker than the rear of a sedan.
| Glass | Sedan | Truck, SUV, van | What we usually fit |
|---|---|---|---|
| Windshield strip | 5 in from the top | 5 in from the top | Non-reflective, cut to the AS-1 line |
| Front side windows | 25% | 25% | 35% if you drive at night, 25% if you want it dark |
| Rear side windows | 25% | 10% | Matched to the fronts, or dropped to 20% on a truck |
| Rear glass | 10% | 10% | 20% keeps a truck legal at the back and still reads dark |
Going darker than this is a Class B misdemeanour. It is a fine and an order to strip the film, which you pay for twice. Film darker than the table above is sold in Arkansas and fitted every day — but it is your licence plate on the car, so ask for the number before you agree to it, and know what you are choosing.
Cars That Have Been Through the Shop
Every photo here is a job we did, on a customer's car, published with their say-so. None of it is stock.
What happens to your car while we have it
Most of this is prep. The film is the fast part.
-
On arrival
Glass is stripped and decontaminatedOld film comes off, adhesive comes off, and every edge and seal gets cleaned. Skipping this is why cheap tint bubbles at the edges in two summers.
-
Pattern
Cut to your vehicle, not to a rough shapeEach pane is patterned and trimmed to the glass, so there is no light gap at the seal and nothing lifts at the defroster lines.
-
Install
Laid, squeegeed, heat shrunkCurved rear glass is shrunk to shape before it goes anywhere near the car. This is the step that separates a clean job from a creased one.
-
Cure
Windows stay up for a few daysSome haze and small water pockets are normal while it cures out. If anything is still there after cure, bring it back.
-
Out
Tint 2–3 hours · PPF 1–5 days · Ceramic 2 days · Full wrap 1–5 daysTint is usually the same day you bring it in. Wraps and full front PPF are booked in advance.
Book Your Install
It is exactly what we need to price the job properly, so you get one number back instead of four questions.
